Back to School Expo
Librarians from our feeder schools spent the day welcoming our students back to school. We gave away books and took pictures with our green screen!

BRIGHT Summer Readers
Congratulations to our top BRIGHT Summer Readers for 2019! These students were recognized at the 25th Annual Celebration held at the Pharr Event Center. This year's theme was Enchanted Readers.

New Books!
Texas Library Strand 3: Reading, Dimension 3 Library materials reflect diversity, student choice for leisure reading, and reading for information as well as the needs of the curriculum and the state standards.
Freshman Orientation
English I classes visited the library for our annual Freshman Orientation. Topics covered were library policies, procedures, hours and how to use our online catalog. Additionally, students explored the databases and learned how to check out books on MackinVia. As a culmination, they applied what they learned by participating in a Wolverine Library Scavenger Hunt! It was great meeting and getting to know our newest Wolverines!

Texas Library Strand 3: Reading, Dimension 2: The library supports, supplements, and elevates literacy instruction through research based strategies and participation in national, state, and local reading initiatives.
Google Certified Educators
Did you know that Mrs. Garza, along with Mr. Moreno, Mrs. Zambrano, and Mr. Prieto are Google Certified Educators? The four of us went through training in the summer and had take a three hour test (and pass!) in order to be certified. If you need assistance with any Google Suite applications such as Classroom, Forms, Docs, Sites, Slides, and much more, feel free to come by the library and I'll be more than happy to work with you. I am also available for CLC and department meetings!

GROWL Book Club Homecoming Sweethearts
Congratulations to our homecoming sweethearts, N. Cano and Z. Sanchez, both seniors and four year members of our book club. Our sweethearts were recognized during halftime at our homecoming game.
