My Summer Trip to Chicago
July 2nd through the 5th
During this summer I went to Chicago Illinois. We also we stopped in Gurnee, Illinois. I went with my mom and my sister. We saw my grandpa and grandma on our way back. In order to get there we drove in my moms car. It took us about 3 1/2 hours which includes us stopping for breakfast. I went with my mom and my sister. We saw my grandpa and grandma on our way back. We went down there because we wanted to visit the city. I've never been there before so it was cool to see all of the sky scrapers. When we were in Chicago we walked around the city. We visited Navy Pier, the Nike Store and the Drake hotel.
Connection to Science
It connects to the water cycle. Before I was there it was hot and sunny so the water was evaporating. Then when I was there all the water decided to come back down. For my first connection I am using how it was storming for two days while I was there. For my second connection I chose how I affected global warming. I released CO2 into the atmosphere when we were driving there. Every time you drive you are release green house gases into the atmosphere. That traps the earth's heat in and can't escape to space.
That is a picture of an entertainment set at IKEA that I liked.
That is a picture I took on my Trip to Chicago. Trump Tower is the sky scraper in the picture.
A couple questions
1. How much CO2 is released per gallon of gas?
2. Why did lightning strike the trump tower?
3. How fast was the Lightning?
4. How much was the humidity at when I was there?
