Mass. Travel Advisory
All families traveling out of state for more than 24 hours, including over the April vacation week, must quarantine or show results of a negative COVID PCR test administered within 72 hours, upon arrival. Results of that test must be shared with the school nurse, Gwen Lemire. Please refer to Dr. Harvey’s letter for more details.
Drop-off and Pick-up
Please click here for a diagram and instructions for middle school drop-off and pick-up. Please be advised that we expect heavy traffic once school return to full time, in-person learning. Therefore, I advise that you give yourself plenty of time for morning drop-off, or better yet, I encourage your student(s) to take the bus! When you arrive on campus, students should be dropped in the driveway near Door #5. Please do not idle and wait; students must exit cars immediately and wait outside on the grass. Mr. Monagle and I will be there to supervise. Building doors open at 7:20. In order to minimize traffic jams, students must exit vehicles even if arriving before 7:20. Thank you for your cooperation.
April 26, May 3, and May 17 will all be delayed openings to account for the transition of students back to Masconomet Middle and High Schools on a full time basis. Please note that buses will begin their routes 2.5 hours later than normal. Please click here for the link to our bus routes for their normally scheduled stops and times and then adjust to 2.5 hours later.
Classes will begin at 10 am. Please click here to view the schedule or see below.
We will be administering MCAS exams in May and June, and I will share the test schedule with families after break. The test window is May 17- June 11. The 7th grade test is two parts, one Math and one ELA. The 8th grade test is three parts: Math, ELA and Science. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education also said that they will provide a remote test for remote learners. I will be following up with additional information.
Everyone was given a Bus Route to begin the school year. Even if you originally chose remote, your Bus # still appears in your Power School Account. To check the bus routes, please click this link. You can see which stop is nearest your house and what time the bus stops there, approximately. You can find your bus # in your PowerSchool account.
