Five Functions
The integumentary system regulates body temperature, manufacturers vitamin D, it's the site of many nerve endings, temporary storage of glucose, fat, water , and salt , and it protects from the UV radiation.
Nails
Nails grow out of deep folds in the skin of the fingers and toes. Nails protect the soft skin under our nails.
Hair
Hair grows on the epidermis layer of the skin. Hair consists of the hair shaft which projects from the skin's surface.
Skin
Skin the the body's largest organ. It protects from dehydration, injury, and germs.
Diseases
The systems organs and tissues is the dermis and the epidermis. The epidermis is the top layer and the dermis is the under layer. On the epidermis layer worts can grow, you can get athletes foot, and moles. Worts are caused by a viral occur on hands or feet they can be greeted by a dermatologist and be frozen off.
