PAPERTOWN LANDSCAPES
learning spaces cardboard architecture
Flexible schools need flexible spaces
Modern Learning Spaces are characterized by flexible time schedules, diverse and constantly changing room situations, self-organized learning and interactivity of the students.
We develop cardboard elements, that can cope with all those needs.
Lego-like pieces that can be combined, individualized and used for diverse purposes, for instance:
1.) MOBILE FURNITURE
Use them as tables, storage devices, base for posters, table legs or chairs
2.) ROOM DIVIDERS
Assemble and disassemble walls and separate rooms in a second
3.) BUILD AND DECORATE
Use them for building gates, stages, stage design or other decorative elements
4.) PLAY AND LEARN
Play and learn through the haptical experience of building something and interactions during the building process. In combination with specially designed games you can also transmit learning contents more sustainable and in a playful, interactive and fun way.
CURRENT STATUS
We are currently testing two basic designs and their applicability:
1.) CUBES
2.) HEXAGONAL ELEMENTS
They have been tested and used as different kinds of furniture, stage designs, decorations, construction bases, room dividers and at street festivals for kids' entertainment.
We have different types, cardboard thicknesses and sizes, depending on their usage: they can be made really stable and robust or they can be light and foldable.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We need
STEP 1.) Scientific researches including a specially written paper about why and how new learning spaces are relevant, the differences to more conservative methods, what their needs are (mainly regarding spatial situations) and how the Papertown Landscapes can meet those needs.
STEP 2.) Schools, Teachers, Mentors, Innovators that can use and test our elements and want to work closely with us regarding improvements of the design, applicabilities, game design etc.
STEP 3.) VIDEOS. Based on the outcomes of the scientific research and the co-working with experts we need a short "Documentary-style" video about this topic and the Papertown Landscapes and some highly qualitative promo videos.
STEP 4.) SALES ! People that know who, where, when and how we can also sell those elements (or get fundings so people can use them for free).
WHAT WE CAN OFFER
Besides that we can always talk about other value exchanges ( cardboard elements you can keep afterwards, other cardboard designs, we have a big studio that can be use for events, meetings etc.)
We will find the fitting value exchange for each cooperation!
If you want to know more and/or cooperate, just contact us and tell us what you could offer or what you would need under which conditions.
