Pilates for Buff Bones
A unique, Pilates-based workout that uses bone-strengthening techniques while focusing on alignment and balance. It targets the hips, arms, abs and back while giving the whole body a terrific workout. The program follows a research-supported design of specially sequenced exercises, making it an entire system of bone and joint health, rather than just a set of exercises. This dynamic workout is adaptable and challenging for people of all levels. It is also safe for those with osteoporosis.

Kathy Sherman
Kathy is a seasoned Pilates Instructor who trained and taught in the Philadelphia area before moving to Waunakee 3 years ago. She is a graduate of Penn State’s School of Health and Physical Education, and after a lengthy detour through Corporate America, returned to her “fitness roots” in 2005 to complete a 700-hour Full Pilates Certification Program at Body Precision as well as a Pilates Masters Program with Second Generation
teacher, Karen Carlson. “Living in the Philadelphia area, I was fortunate to have a thriving Pilates community
in which to learn and grow.” As such, Kathy has studied with dozens of high profile, well-respected Pilates teachers and world-renowned movement experts. She brings that expertise and creative energy and enthusiasm to every class Kathy has worked with hundreds of men and women ranging in age from 13 – 93; from Olympic hopefuls to those in chronic pain. Her client list has included many golfers, runners, dancers and a host of individuals simply seeking a well- functioning body. “I believe Pilates is a primary tool to achieving body awareness, flexibility, strength and alignment and that a regular practice of Pilates will improve all aspects of daily
function.”
