This week in reading we reviewed strategies for problem solving unknown words during reading. We also discusses visualizing during reading and we reviewed character traits.

We focused on generating ideas for free writing time. We also created rules and expectations for our writer's workshop time.

We have been working with place value skills. Students worked on describing the value of a digit and different ways to show numbers through the hundred thousands. They compared, ordered, and rounded numbers up to 999,999. Students were also challenged with some tough place value word problems.
