Typing Web

Typing Webb is a website that helps you learn how to type by teaching you where all the letters, numbers, and symbols are on the keyboard. We use this website in class because it will help prepare you for the future because in the future everybody will be sending emails to each other instead of writing letters to each other. Before class starts we always do a five minute warm up.

At some point during the semester you will use the app Imovie to make an iTrailer. Your iTrailer will have to be about some point in your life that you value. You can only use the pictures that you have from the trip or important time in your life and not from google images. It is a very fun way to express a point in your life and I think you will enjoy it.

At one point during the year you will use the website Code.org. This website is a very easy coding website that teaches you how to program objects in video games. In order to get a three you need to get through course 7 and four a four you need to get through course 9. I personally thought that this was the best unit in the entire semester because I am interested in programming.

Career Locker

Career Locker is a website that teaches you about careers that you might want to do when you're older. This website also tells you about the colleges you might help you get the job that you want. Mrs VandenBoogaard or Mr. Noe comes in and teaches you about the site. You take several assessments to determine your learning style and what environment you work best in.

Haiku Deck

In this unit you will make a presentation on your dream job. You will need to make ten slides about what you want to do when you're older, what college you want to go to when you're older, and the salary for your job.

Explain Everything

Explain everything is an app on your iPad that you will use to explain a math problem that you choose. There are ten different math situations that you can choose from. You need to make at least two slides for the situation, one for the problem and the other slides for the steps to get the answer.
