Hydrogen Fuel
By: Jacob and Joe
Pros and Cons:
Pros :
Hydrogen is a more effective fuel than gasoline
Hydrogen engines average about 90 mpg
Hydrogen is a zero emissions fuel
Cons:
It costs 1.8 times the price of natural gas
It is dependent on fossil fuels for production and transportation
Not many car companies make cars that are able to use hydrogen fuels

How Hydrogen Fuel is Made
- Made from natural gas steam reformation
- Natural gas is pressured down and broken into hydrogen and carbon oxides
- Can also be produced by electrolysis which is running an energy current through water to separate the hydrogen and oxygen
- It is then stored and cooled for a fuel source
