Rock Cycle

what it is

Igneous rocks are formed by the cooling of lava or magma.

Sedimentary rocks are formed by natural minerals that are formed together.

Metamorphic rocks are rocks that have changed due to intense temperature and pressure.

how each rock forms

Igneous rocks form from the cooling and solidification of magma or lava.

Sedimentary rocks form when sediment is deposited out of air, ice, wind, gravity, or water flows carrying the particles in suspension.

Metamorphic rocks are formed when high pressure and temperate build up onto and around the rock.
