Teacher Feature: Justin Reising
Mr. Justin Reising joined the DBE faculty as a Mathematics teacher Spring Semester of last year. Mr. Reising previously taught Math at both Daniel Boone and Volunteer High Schools after graduating with his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from King University.
When Justin is not in his classroom, you can find him at the Bristol Motor Speedway selling race tickets or on a baseball field hitting a few homeruns. Mr. Reising still holds the second longest hitting streak in the state for high school baseball. Baseball is still one of his favorite pastimes, which he enjoys both playing and coaching. He also enjoys playing guitar, reading, and running with his two Huskies.
Mr. Reising enjoys working at Dobyns-Bennett Excel because DBE fits the needs of individual students, and that DBE is not a “one size fits all” curriculum. In his time here, he has devoted much of it to designing course structures that meets students where they are academically and creating course materials which will help them excel to where they want to be. The ability to differentiate in this manner is one of the many differences that sets DBE and Mr. Reising apart. Mr. Reising truly is student-focus and world-class!
