What is Physical Inactivity?
Facts & Statistics
~Physical activity levels tend to decrease as a person ages. Of youths aged 12 and 13, 69% are regularly physically active, but, the number drops to 38% for young people between 18 and 21.
~Increasingly, researchers are learning that regular exercise and good nutrition are critical to sustained good health. In fact, estimates are that some 300,000 deaths each year in the U. S. likely are the results of physical inactivity and poor eating habits.
Consequences
~ Also with poor nutrition and poor physical health ca lead to heart failure and other heart problems.
~ Finally with poor food choices plus not being physical active for at least 30 minutes per day can lead to obesity later on in their lives.
Prevention
~ Join a gym with friends to make it more fun and appealing to you
~ Finally eat a smaller healthier diet
