You Matter at VAES!

Congratulations to Our UIL Winners!

We still have UIL results rolling in as I type. This group of 2nd graders placed 1st as a team in the Chess Puzzle competition. Ally Kirley placed 2nd, Eli Wells placed 3rd, Jarrell Best and Conner Bakken did so well that all together their scores made the team place 1st. Way to go! We want to thank all of our coaches and students for working so hard to prepare for today. Thank you to the parents who were able to attend today to help monitor students. We will get all the finalized results to you as soon as we can.

Principal's Pulse

We have had a productive week of learning with our students all across the building. We look forward to hearing all the results from our UIL academic competition today. We are proud of these students and their coaches for the extra work that has taken place over the last couple of months in preparation for today's competition.

Monday is the deadline for bringing in items for our Christmas angels. If your child's teacher has sent home information to you about the needs of an angel, please consider shopping over the weekend. We thank you for the generosity you are showing to ensure all of our VAISD angels and their families have a blessed holiday.

Please see the information below about the Parent's Night Out at the High School tomorrow night. This will give you the opportunity to have some Christmas preparation time while your children are busy with some fun activities and are monitored for FREE.

Please make plans to attend the PTA Family Movie Night next Friday, December 11th at 6:30 p,m. Please see the flyer information below for more details.

4th Grade Science Fair

Our 4th graders presented their science fair projects to their classes during the day on Tuesday and then had them on display for parents and friends that evening. Our students shared a wealth of knowledge! Thank you to all who were able to attend on Tuesday night. We had a great crowd, and it means so much to your children to see their hard work.
