Weaknesses of the Articles.

Reasons why the Articles of Confederation failed.

National government couldn't enforce laws.

Due to this weakness, even if laws were established on the national level, the states could choose whether to bluntly ignore them or listen to them.

Passing a law or amending one.

In order to pass a law, the government need 9 out of the 13 states' approval.

In order to amend a law, the government needed all 13 states' approval (which was nearly impossible).

National government couldn't tax the states.

No executive or judicial branch of government; only one legislature where each state had one vote.

Suffering.

Economically, the states had began to suffer, especially when each state started taxing one another and hurting trade.
