PARENTS, THANK YOU FOR VISITING!

What a wonderful evening of Parent/ Teacher Conferences on Thursday! We had over 150 conferences scheduled this time, which is an increase! Our Family & Consumer Science Class made "sweet treats" for guests as they entered the building.

To the parents who participated, we would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" for taking the time to attend the Parent/ Teacher Conference Night at North Middle School. Your participation and engagement in your child's education is greatly appreciated and it is proven that schools with more parent involvement have students who achieve more!

We understand that your time is valuable, and we are grateful for your willingness to meet with us to discuss your child's progress and achievements. We believe that open communication and collaboration between home and school is essential for a successful academic journey, and we appreciate your willingness to be an active partner in your child's education.

If you were unable to login or attend Parent/ Teacher Conferences this time, feel free to contact your child's teachers via email or on Schoology. It's never too late to be involved!

You may have noticed that our usual Friday afternoon newsletters have moved to Saturday. In an effort to catch more parents at a time when they are less busy, we are sending our newsletters on the weekend, hoping to increase our readership and keep more parents/ guardians informed. Thank you for reading!

A COOL THING HAPPENED IN CLASS...

Ms. Kyker's classes have been studying the Antebellum reformers this week. Each student had to research a reformer, such as Sojourner Truth, Horace Mann, or John Brown, and write a fake resume for that person, bragging about their experience and accomplishments. Students created the resumes in Canva!

Ms. Moreland's PLS classes got to participate in the Greece escape room! They had to use decoders to solve 5 puzzles. The first team to reach the end and figure out the 4 digit code got the special prizes in the breakout box!

Ms. Mills is teaching a library lesson all month long about copyright & plagiarism. She started this week with a few of the 8th grade Reading classes!

Ms. Vaughn's music students are beginning their unit on guitar & ukulele!

Social Studies students all over the building are busy finishing their Social Studies Fair projects! They are prepping oral presentations and finishing backboards. The Social Studies Fair will take place THIS WEDNESDAY, with the parent showcase & awards on Thursday at 4:30pm. Please join us!
