Principal's Prose
Greetings Team,
Welcome to another great week everyone! I hope that the three day weekend was awesome and allowed for the opportunity for rest and relaxation. As Friday's PD was designed with the intent of both professional and personal enrichment, one of the most memorable experiences was learning about our team members during the SEL sentence stem activity. With such transparency and dedication to sharing and receiving, the sense of coming together was clearly evident. Thank you for all who participated, as our journey of growing together for the sake of our students and vision will increasingly call for our ability to work as one.
Team, as it seems with all four day weeks, the days ahead are promised to be busy and robust with activity. The coming common assessments will again paint the picture of where we are and reflect how we are progressing. With everyday, and every lesson, mastery must continue to be the focus. As was shared on Friday, our ED has given all district magnet schools the expectation of an "A" according to the state rating system. Thus so, our goal for student achievement is to have 100% approaching, 85% meeting and 50% mastering in all tested content areas. With many of our classes nearing this mark, this goal is a challenge to us all. The great news is that we have the team and tools needed for such a task and the will to get the job done! If we dig deep, continue to grow together and put our individual all into "us", there's no goal we can not accomplish!
Make it another great week team!
Sincerely,
MJ
