Chaska Parks and Recreation Department Update

View the most recent communication (6.8.2020) from the City of Chaska Parks and Recreation Director, Marshall Grange on the reopening of the Community Center. The initial reopening will focus on the ice arena, fitness center, group fitness classes and the pool at limited capacities and in accordance to the guidelines established in the Stay Safe MN Plan.

Governor Walz’s most recent Executive Order 20-55, states those who are at risk of severe illness from COVID-19 are strongly urged to stay at home or in their place of residence, thus the Lodge will continue to be closed until further notice. The MN Department of Health is expected to release guidelines specific to Senior Centers in the near future which we will utilize to help inform our decision when to reopen the Lodge.

We miss seeing you and look forward to the time we can get together again.

Chaska Area Fishing with Friends, a long standing partner with the City of Chaska and The Lodge found a new way to continue to provide fishing opportunities within our community. They teamed up with us to offer a fishing to go kit to include virtual tutorials and tips posted on their website. Their commitment of time and resources greatly helped to support this program during a time when their annual fishing academy was not possible. To learn more about this organization, visit

Driver's Safety Classes

At this time, AARP has cancelled all on-site classes through July 1st.
