Agriculture News from Savannah Rubio

Entomology team went to Texas A&M University on Saturday to learn about insects and identification. This helped better them as we get closer to our Area 5 contest! They did great and had a great time.

Last Tuesday my entomology team placed third out of fifteen teams at our invitational contest. Also Clark alumni, junior at PSHS, Lauren Berman, placed third top individual out of 61 people at the contest as well.

Soooo went to drop something off in Bill's room and the kids were freaking out about something, turns out nature is trying to take over the school!!! A plant has made its way from the ground cover plants outside under the building and into the classroom! Oh nooooo look out the plants are coming!!!!!!!

PSHS Varsity Soccer Defeated Mansfield in their 2nd round of Playoffs this past Friday Night. Looks like our Coaches were “Goofy” with Excitement after the Game!!

Can’t find Dr. Bayyan??

If you are sending students to see Dr. Bayyan, his office has moved to where the Conference Room (100E) was located and now the Conference Room is located where Dr. Bayyan's old office (112B) was.

Jamie Nash and her husband, Dallas, do a wonderful job of sharing their life-changing stories with our students! Jamie was burned alive in a car accident as a result of texting while driving and her husband, Dallas, received the first full face transplant ever after being electrocuted . As a result, his face was completed melted off.

PTSA Sponsors Powerful Speakers this past week during STAAR Testing.

Jamie Nash and her husband, Dallas, did a wonderful job of sharing their life-changing stories with our students! Jamie was burned alive in a car accident as a result of texting while driving and her husband, Dallas, received the first full face transplant ever after being electrocuted . As a result, his face was completed melted off. Jamie has currently undergone 37 surgeries as a result of being trapped in a burning car.

Exciting News and Results from this weekend’s Texas State Science Fair

Our students did a great job representing Clark HS at the state level. Here are the awards they won-


Raymond Jow- 3rd place in Physics and Astronomy

NASA Special Award


Sujoy Purkaystha and Yonathan Zetune (team project)- 3rd place in Embedded Systems


Burzin Balsara and Malav Shah (team project)- 1st place in Engineering Mechanics

Future Engineer Special Award


In addition, Burzin and Malav are invited to attend the Texas Governor's Science Camp this summer.


And here's the best news of all- Burzin and Malav are invited to present their project at the Intel Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF - the overall international fair) . From all the projects at the State Science Fair, they select 8 for ISEF, and ours is one of them! I am so excited for them, we will be going to Phoenix soon!
