Superintendent's Notes
May 6, 2022
CCPS Community:
This week, CCPS joined school systems across the country in recognizing Teacher Appreciation Week. We have posted videos on social media throughout the week. Below you will find our final culminating video. Being a teacher today requires an immense amount of perseverance, dedication, grit, and a heart for helping all children succeed. Our CCPS teachers are some of the best in the profession and while this has been a specially dedicated week for their recognition, we are thankful EVERY day for each of these individuals. You can check out all of our Teacher Appreciation Videos on our YouTube playlist.
I know that this is a VERY busy time of year with events, activities, sports, concerts, and more. However, I would encourage everyone to mark their calendars for Monday, May 16, for the annual CCPS Capstone Gallery Walk at Elkton High School. This event allows our students the chance to share their research and capstone projects with the public. These projects include topics such as medical research and engineering design and I can promise you, that you will leave beyond impressed with the work of our students!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jeffrey A. Lawson
Superintendent of Schools
