End of School Year Information
Due to the extreme winter weather we have had this year, the school board has approved a motion to implement unplanned e-learning (no back to back days though) to be used to make up school closure days that may occur between now and the end of the school year if the makeup days would put us past May 31st.
As of today, we have four school days to make up, which will make our last day of school on May 30th. That being said, if we have a school closure between now and the end of the school year, we will make up the day on May 31st. If we have more than one closure day, we will then implement an unplanned e-learning day.
1) Soest will have their Active Shooter drill Thursday, Feb. 14th
2) Flatrock will have their Active shooter drill Tuesday, Feb 12th
3) The 3rd quarter end date has been approved and moved to Friday, March 15th. In parent newsletter this week and updated in Renweb as well.
Kindness Week
Maybe during that week, a class or classes could have a kindness project to do as a whole class as well to reinforce the lessons? I'll do a check in to see how planning is progressing at Wednesday staff meeting.
ECE Open House
Folks it is key that we do all we can to get behind these events and support them. At a minimum, we need to maintain current enrollment numbers and at best we need to grow. If not, cuts will need to happen. We are at the break even point with enrollment and needed faculty and staff. Please do all you can to help.
