Seagoville's Annual Fireworks Show and Festival Cancelled

Due to recent information from the Dallas County Health Authority the City of Seagoville has determined it is in the best interest of the community to cancel this year’s fireworks show due to COVID-19 concerns.

The City has consulted Balch Springs, Mesquite, Garland, Lancaster, De Soto and Cedar Hill who have all cancelled events as well.

The Town of Addison will be live streaming their fireworks show this year, but no one will be allowed to attend the event.

We understand there will be some that disagree with this decision, however the public’s health and safety is our number one concern. The City will monitor the pandemic situation and will re-schedule the fireworks show when safe to do so.

C.O. Bruce Central Park will be closed until further notice to comply with the Governor’s and Dallas County’s request to limit gatherings of over 100 people.

The City of Seagoville adds LED Sign at Central Park

Last Fall the Seagoville Economic Development Corporation granted the City of Seagoville the funds to add an LED sign at Seagoville Central Park. The sign will provide an eye catching medium to keep citizens and visitors informed of events and programs.

Fireworks Illegal in the City of Seagoville

The Seagoville Fire Department would like to inform the citizens that it is illegal to possess, use, store and handle fireworks inside the city limits of Seagoville. The City also passed a nuisance ordinance that makes it illegal to use fireworks within the City of Seagoville extraterritorial jurisdiction. That distance is 5000 feet outside the city limits.

Violations of these codes may result in a fine up to $2,000.00.
