The WES Parent Wildcat Weekly
Home of the Wildcats!
Week of March 8-12, 2021
Hello from Principal Holmes!
Dear Wildcat Parents,
Oh my goodness, wildcat parents! You all are amazing! With your support of the Read-a-thon, we raised $10,000 to support our school library and also our classroom libraries. Our students will get to help teachers select books to purchase for them to read! This is amazing! Our students are readers! They logged over 77,000 minutes of reading! We will be announcing all of the winners on Monday morning so stay tuned! We are also continuing our love of reading with a spirit week so join in on the fun! This is all so exciting!
On Wednesday, we have a lot of celebrating! At 12:00pm, families can come to help celebrate the Read-a-thon by receiving free ice cream AND watch me get my hair dyed by Mrs. Smith, our assistant principal, and the top reader for the Read-a-thon. This will be held outside so bring a chair and join in on the fun. So much to look forward to!
Also on Wednesday, we have FREE food pick up to include breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for 14 days, and dinners for two days. This should assist families through the upcoming Spring Break. This is FREE and available to anyone.
Thank you for all you do to support our wildcat learners. It is through your support and dedication that we can continue to navigate this unique year to ensure our wildcat learners are successful. We appreciate you!
With wildcat pride and spirit,
Dianne Holmes
Principal
