Moving Forward
Last week, we focused upon Keeping the Main Thing, the Main Thing; we need to keep this in mind so our Instructional Priorities maintain being the priority. We are only 19 instructional days away from our ACPs. We have to be pragmatic in our approach to understand the importance and urgency of this district assessment. For K-2nd, this is most of what is calculated for student achievement, and for 3rd-5th, this is the only assessment that will bear results when district decisions are made. This reminder is not intended as a scare tactic, but as a transparent window to current reality.
We have the tools and resources necessary to be successful; I have met and spoken with each one of you individually to make Goal Expectations for ACPs student achievement. During these conferences I have asked what is needed as far as my support, or through the leadership team, to make those goals met, or even beaten. Please reach out for help in anyway so our kids get our best!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner; please be very intentional in how the next 4 days are used so the students hit the ground running on Monday, Nov 27. Be Thankful, spend time resting and rejuvenating, and we WILL knock out this semester with success!!
Onward!
11th Week in Review
We have completed 11 weeks of school!! Last week, we took our Common Assessment Data and used or data analysis protocol to identify where we are, were we are going, and make decisions to either speed up or change the direction of our course!
We had our Monthly Fire drill and two semester drills, and both of those went very well. Thank you for preparing our students for such a great job!
We enjoyed a wonderful professional development from our Academic Facilitator Ms. Richardson who showed us how to diagram TEKS to the specificity level in ELA and utilizing the Enhanced Clarification document for our Math Standards.
Teacher Shout Outs!!
