Straight From The Lions Mouth

October 24, 2020

We had such an amazing week with our youngest learners back in school! It was music to my ears to hear them in the building, and nothing gets me in a better mood than greeting them each morning and afternoon. Now, we are ready for our 2nd 3rd, and 4th graders! The excitement is in the air.... and I anxiously await for their arrival on Monday, for our cohort A, and then again on Thursday, for our cohort B!

I am posting once again the video our leadership team created for you, and hope you have the opportunity to view it prior to your child returns to school.

Have a great weekend!

Please do your best to assist us running our arrival and dismissal

CES Principal and Staff would like to remind you that all adults please stay in their vehicles during the arrival and dismissal process. This ensures that we are able to move all students and families safely and efficiently through the line of cars.

Those of you who are assisting your child in bucking into their car seats should continue to pull through lane A (closest to the sidewalk) at dismissal to ensure that you can pull into a handicapped spot and take the time you need. If you require additional time during the arrival process, please call our main office so that we can develop a plan to meet your family's need. This is specially important starting on Monday as we are adding car drop off for grades 2 through grade 4.

Also, we sincerely appreciate all of your efforts thus far in helping your children learn to manage the car doors independently! We are amazingly impressed with their abilities and know it is a direct result of your hard work.

We will do our absolutely best to assist you in this process while keeping our students, families, and staff safe.

Thank you for your collaboration!

Tuesday, Oct. 27 and Friday, 30 ONLY

We are sad to announce that we will not be doing our Halloween parade this year. Instead, to celebrate with our students, we will invite anyone who celebrates Halloween to wear orange and black on Tuesday, Oct. 27th (cohort A) and Thursday, Oct. 30 (cohort B) to wear black and orange to school. Classrooms may choose further virtual celebration, but none is required.

Thank you for your understanding and support!
