President's Message

I really love Christmas, especially the magical feeling of a white Christmas with the new-fallen snow glistening in the sun. Fond memories of a childhood Christmas brings back all sorts of wonderful feelings. Even more so since I don't get to see too many white Christmases! It's also sad when joy is replaced by stress of being an adult- the hustle and bustle, losing sight of what Christmas is really all about.

There are many reasons I love being "Bella". One of those reasons is seeing the world through my grandchildren's eyes. This time of year is indeed a magical time to look upon the wonder on their precious faces. My hope for them is to truly know the real reason we celebrate this season and to nurture their giving hearts. That gift receiving will be a happy outcome filled with gratitude and not entitlement.

I hope that you take the time to share those traditions with those you love that rekindle the true magic and wonder of the season.

Sláinte (health) to you,

Lisa Sicilio, MEd, BSN, RN, NCSN

A Message From School Nurse Supply

There are times when it is necessary to communicate news that is painful. It is with great sadness that I inform you of the untimely passing of our valued teammate Dave Pullias, our Southwest Regional Sales Manager.

Dave's services were held on Wednesday, December 6th at Grand Parkway Baptist Church in Richmond, TX.

Our heart and condolences go out to his wife, Alicia, his son Nickolas and step children, family and friends.

We were privileged to have such a great man not only as part of our team, but as part of our family. Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Dave. You will be deeply missed.

In the interim Vanessa Cole will be handling all of Dave's customers until we can find the right person to take over his role at School Nurse Supply. And as you know that will not be an easy task for us to accomplish but please rest assured that we will not only meet but exceed your expectations and give you the customer service you have come to expect from Dave and School Nurse Supply. Thank you for doing business with us and keeping us in your thoughts as we grieve the loss of our dear friend and colleague.

Vanessa Cole can be reached at vcole@schoolnursesupplyinc.com or at 847-230-8343.

Sincerely,

Deana Anglada on behalf of Craig Bradner and all employees of School Nurse Supply

TSNO Executive Board is heartbroken for the loss of our friend, Dave Pullias. It is painful to know our last good-bye really was the last and what an honor to have had Dave and School Nurse Supply play such a significant role in giving back so generously to the school nurses who suffered loss from the hurricane and flooding. His heart and his compassion for school nurses was great. If anyone ever referred to Dave, School Nurses all over Texas immediately knew who we referring to. Over the last 20 years, he had become a part of the School Nurse Family. His smile and his friendship will be immensely missed.

Hurricane Harvey Recovery

Recovery is far from over for many. The images below from FEMA show just how far some of our fellow Texans were displaced. Thank You to everyone who donated to this cause!

As of December 1st, over $29,000 was raised by your response to our appeal. Because of you, many clinics and school nurses received much needed assistance. TSNO will post a final Texas School Nurses Relief Fund Report to our website txsno.org by the end of 2017. Again, thank you for your kindness and generosity!
