Bora-Bora is a 30km2 (12 sq) island in the Leeward group in the Western part of the Society Islands of French Polnesiaian overseas collectively of France in the Pacific Ocean.
Bora-Bora has 2 seasons, Summer and Winter. In Bora-Bora the Winter months are June, July, August, September, October. Winter is the dry season and average temperature around 25 degrees
Bora Bora Summer months included December, January, February and March. Summer is the wet season with a average temperature of 30 degrees.
The island is location about 250 Km northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a Barrier reef. Bora Bora is location in the Pacific.
In ancient times, the island was known as Vavau. According to local myth, the lender Hirol first king of Ra'iatea sent his son Ohattamamo to rule Bora Bora.
