Do you engage your students in everyday moments?
Think about a time when a "teachable moment" occurred in your classroom? Did you take the time to engage the students in your classroom or were you too busy pushing to get through your lesson plan? I can't blame you for pushing, but I hope you take the time, when it occurs, to use an everyday moment that will be remembered. You see, students will never remember the great lessons that you taught, but they will remember YOU if you take the time to know them.
Check out these two presenters!
Last Thursday, our HA team "did us proud"! They were asked to do about a 10- minute presentation to the entire HA coordinators meeting. There were about 180 people in attendance. The presentation included about 30 pictures that show-cased some great things happening in our high ability program. Congrats to our three HA teachers.
Are you this organized?
Sometimes, it's the little things that catch our eyes, and this is one of them. As I was sitting at Kristen Bowen's desk watching her class, I was mesmerized by this colored coded miracle. Oh how I long to be this organized, but I really need an elf to make that happen. Well done!
I think I'm going to ask Scott Merkel to help me with morning announcements!
