End of the Year is Upon us!
It is so crazy to think that we are 14 days away from summer! I am truly sad to see this class go. They are such a fun, energetic, thoughtful, creative, and sweet class. To tell you the truth I do not want to let them go! However, they are super excited for summer and 6th grade.
So Much is Going On!
Here is a quick glance of what is to come in the next couple of weeks...
May 8-12 Staff Appreciation Week
May 15-19 Spirit Week (Monday- Beach Day, Tuesday- Neon Day, Wednesday- Random Acts of Kindness, Thursday - Heritage Spirit Day, Friday- Field Day)
May 17-18 Growing and Changing "The Talk"
May 19th Field Day and Summer Birthday Celebrations
May 24 Last day of School! End of the Year Celebration (8:45-9:45)
Growing and Changing
"The Talk"
On Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 18 we will learn how our body changes. We will be learning the material in single-gender classrooms, boys with boys, girls with girls. We will be using the Great Body Shop curriculum called "Growing up". A permission slip was sent home today, May 4th, with more information. Please make sure that you sign and return the slip no later than Friday, May 12.
Filed Day
We will have Field Day May 19th. We will be out on the field starting around 9:00 and go until 12:00 ish. A finalized schedule will soon be out, check for it in the Thursday Blast.
Please remember to have your child:
Wear comfortable clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses and tennis shoes.
Bring a hat and water bottle with their name on it.
Summer Birthday Celebrations
We have many kids who have birthdays during summer and would like to celebrate. If your child has a birthday during the summer months, they are welcome to bring in treats for our class of 25 on May 19.
