Brief Background
W.E.B Du Bois was a civil rights activist, avid writer, and founding member of the NAACP. He fought for the equality of African Americans, he also fought against the oppression African Americans faced during this time. Du Bois assembled the Niagara Movement making this movement the first of its kind. This movement forever changed the way that African Americans looked at civil inequality.
Niagara Movement
The Niagara Movement was the first movement to assemble a large group of African Americans to fight against inequality.
NAACP
Du Bois was a founding member of the NAACP, he also wrote the letters the association requested him to write to the government.
Famous Book
This book changed the way people looked at inequality this book showed African Americans what it truly meant. This book also has some of Du Bois's famous quotes "the problem with the 20th century is the problem with the color line.

W.E.B Du Bois
W.E.B Du Bois follows the ideas of "Civil Disobedience" Thoreau believed in through his devotion to improve the lives of African Americans, and by promoting equality. He believed that the African Americans should have the rights that all Americans have, and those rights should not be taken away just because of their skin color. He rebelled to the standards of society and in turn made a substantial difference in the lives of countless African Americans.
