Interim Asst. Superintendent

Hingham Public Schools is excited to announce Kathryn (Katie) Roberts will fill the position of Interim Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for the 2022-2023 school year.

Ms. Roberts has been with the Hingham Public Schools for over twenty-five years, most recently serving as K-12 Science Director for the past eleven years. Ms. Roberts has also served as K-5 Science Specialist, Hingham High School science teacher, and Hingham Middle School science and math teacher.

Ms. Robert’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in both biology and government from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science degree from Northeastern University. Ms. Roberts is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Innovative Curriculum and Instruction from Northeastern University and holds a Massachusetts Superintendent License.

Hingham Public Schools will begin its search for a permanent Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning in January of 2023. A complete search for the position will occur at that time to include opportunities for input from educators, students, and community stakeholders.
