Gale-Bailey ROARing Updates
GOING FOR THE GOLD 2021-22
We are GOING FOR THE GOLD in 2022!!!
Dear Gale-Bailey Pride,
And just like that, Monday we will be in May. Time sure is flying. I guess because we are so busy.
I want to take the time to recognize my teachers and staff. This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so blessed to have exceptional teachers at Gale-Bailey who are devoted and genuinely passionate about serving our families and scholars. Thank you, teachers, for all you do! Thank you to the families that have brought in an abundant amount of snacks requested by PTO to ensure that teachers had a fantastic Teacher Appreciation Week.
Lastly, I want to mention that we began MCAP testing for third through fifth-grade scholars this week. MCAP testing is completed based on the Maryland State Standards. It is one way that indicates scholars' progress and compares students throughout the state. State testing should not cause stress (because our scholars are just showing what they know), but it should be taken seriously. Please talk to your child about the seriousness of MCAP and ensure that they are well-rested. Self-confidence, taking their time, perseverance, good attendance, and rest is very important for state testing.
Thank you, PTO, for hosting the food truck, and thank you to everyone that came out to support!
Educationally yours,
Tangie Scales
