2021-22 Learning Environment Options for Students
If you have not completed the Educational Setting Survey, please complete this link by this Friday, April 30th. We are requesting a response and acknowledgment from each family for each student to confirm placement.
Educational Setting Survey Link
For your reference, you will find below the information previously shared in our newsletter and in an email last week.
Forsyth County Schools will again offer students and their families a choice of learning environments for the 2021-22 school year. We ask that you thoughtfully consider the learning environment in which your child will be most successful. The choice you make will determine staffing for thousands of school employees and 51,400+ student schedules, so it is critical that families are confident and certain in their decision. There will only be one chance, at the semester break in December/January, to make a change in your child’s learning environment for 2021-22.
If you have more than one child, you will need to complete a survey for each child. If you do not submit a response to the survey by Friday, April 30, your child’s placement will default to learning in-person at school for 2021-22.
Middle schools will offer 3 choices:
- In-person learning at school, or
- Virtual learning at home in a live, synchronous environment, or
- Virtual learning at home in a self-paced, asynchronous environment
Watch this video to learn more about these options.

The 3 top girls had to go into a ‘sudden death’ tiebreaker with a SFMS student after the tournament. Congratulations to our players and coaches! Thank you to Coach Kulikowski and Coach Fuller for all your hard work.

Donations Needed, Please!
Click HERE for a list of items to donate.
In the month of May (after testing), the RMS PTSO is planning a few "surprise and delights" to show our school (teachers, staff, students) how much we appreciate their dedication and flexibility this year. This year has brought on many more challenges and the stress level has increased greatly. Our teachers and staff have poured many hours into learning new technologies, adapting to new teaching styles, teaching new courses both in-person and virtually and encouraging a healthy school environment for our children. We will also have some grade-level celebrations for the students after testing. We ask that you help us with any donations to show how much we appreciate the time and effort they put in to supporting our children during a pandemic.
We will be collecting donations through Friday, May 14th. A donation tub is located outside the school front door and the counseling office. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!!
