St. Columba's Primary School

Welcome back for Term 2.

An interesting and busy term is ahead of us with remote learning.

We are using our faith and compassion to guide us to love ourselves and others during this time.

We are nurturing a healthy mind, body and soul to learn and grow.

May the term ahead be a wonderful one for all!

Big picture

Father God.

Come be with us today.

Fill our hearts with joy.

Fill our minds with learning.

Fill our classrooms with peace.

Fill our lessons with fun.

Fill our friendships with kindness.

Fill our school with love.

Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to the start of Term 2. Given what we are facing as a school and society,

it has been a very smooth transition back into student learning. I would like to thank all of the families for their support and help in providing a positive learning environment for our students. A reminder that classroom teachers will be in touch with families at least once a fortnight either by email or phone. I also hope that everyone had a break and were able to take stock and find some time to relax.

If you find that you have any issues with remote learning, please contact your classroom teacher immediately. We have had a significant number of students return to school yesterday and St Columba’s has begun to look and sound like a regular school again.

With drop off and pick up in the mornings, to alleviate some of the bank up of cars, Kiss and Drive will be open from 8:20am in the mornings. This arrangement will be in place until Friday 15 May, when the time slot will be reviewed. I would like to thank all of the parents and carers for the wonderful way in which you have utilised Kiss and Drive this term. It has been a very smooth operation thanks to everyone’s cooperation.

God Bless and keep safe.

Allen McMahon

New statements will be emailed to all families by the end of next week. As previously advised if you are having financial difficulties please feel free to contact the Finance Officer, Narelle Foster to discuss.
