Facebook is the Most Used

(304) Egyptian teens completed our survey either online or face-to-face. Most of them (60%) use Facebook to communicate with each other. The next tool they use is their Mobile Phones. The surprising result is that they never use e-mails as a way of communication. What's up is another tool that a few of them use to send messages.

Do you Know?

The survey results showed that most of the Egyptian teens sample (93%) who use Facebook are secondary school students. They are between 15-19 years old. The prep school students represent only 3% of the sample. This is a little bit interesting.

Teens' Parents Opinions about Facebook

On holidays

80% of the Egyptian teens said that their parents allow them to use Facebook on holidays. Those parents think that Facebook is just a tool for fun.

On school days

59 % of the Egyptian teens said that their parents allow them to use Facebook on school days but not all the time. However, 26 % of them reported that their parents don't allow them to use Facebook on school days at all because they think it is a waste of time and affects their study badly .
