THANKS TO ALL OF THE NEW & FIRST TIME VISITORS WE HAD AT ATWOOD LAST WEEK!!! PLEASE COME VISIT AGAIN

We're proud to say that the local chefs, growers and produce at the SWOOM Farmers Market are home grown (and organic). SWOOM accepts cash and EBT cards. We also participate in the Wholesome Wave Double Benefits Program. That means, if you only want to spend $10 of your EBT benefits at the SWOOM Farmer's Market, we'll give you $20 in tokens -- doubling your EBT benefit.

Featuring Local Growers & Chefs

Bring the whole family to tour Atwood Community Gardens & Urban Farm Park and meet your local growers! This talented group of social entrepreneurs are hilariously funny, warm and full of Southern charm. And....they are committed to providing food security to Southwest Atlanta communities via affordable fruits and veggies that are chemical free and delicious. When you get there, ask for them by name!

*** Celebrate National Food Day & Atwood's 3rd Year Anniversary ***

YOU'RE INVITED!!! We've made it another year! Please come celebrate National Food Day during Atwood's 3-Year Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, October 24, 2013.

We're asking everyone to make a $3 donation to our PayPal account @ donations@nextstepsyep.org. Last year, Mayor Kasim Reed awarded us $6,500 in funding to continue building our vision for Atwood. This led to the addition of seating in our S.T.E.M. Lab, a brand new fridge, new walking trails and a host of other amenities. UPDATE! For the first time, we will open the doors to the home at Atwood so visitors can tour the facility and see our plans for converting it into a new training facility. So come on down and celebrate our success (yours, mine and the 3,000+ volunteers) in converting Atwood Community Gardens & Urban Farm Park into a sustainable urban agritourism destination site.

Thank you!
