GOTR Starts Tuesday, Sept. 6th
No School Sept. 26- Teacher PLC Day
A Note from Mrs. Palmer
No school tomorrow, September 5th- Labor Day. See everyone Tuesday, September 6th.
September is Attendance Awareness Month. Regular school attendance not only impacts student learing today but also is a predictor of success in high school.
EES will participate in the "Believe Kids" fundraiser again this year. It is shopping online at well known stores and a certain percentage of money comes back to the school. More details to come.
We are excited to have a Family Math Night on Thursday, September 29- 6:00-7:30 in the school cafeteria. There will also be an informative Title 1 parent meeting. All are welcome.
A reminder if you have any dismissal changes you are to call the school office before 1:30. Do not email or call your child's teacher. They are busy teaching.
EES Pick Up/Drop Off Procedures
You are encouraged to drop your child off following the above procedure (if car rider). If you are volunteering in the classroom (teacher has scheduled you to help), please sign in at the office before going to your child's classroom.
Attendance Policy for RCPS students below:
The Parent/Student Handbook is found at the link below. It contains lots of information. I encourage you to read through it. Call the school before 8:45, if your child will be absent from school. (540-298-1511)
Kind regards,
Barbara Palmer, Principal
