Cherokee County Schools May Newsletter
The Countdown is On!
There are only a few more weeks left in school! It's an exciting and busy time in our classrooms. Be sure to stay engaged with your child's assignments, due dates, and projects. Teachers are wrapping up their content and getting your child ready for success next year! Every day is important - have your child at school and ready to keep learning until the last day!
In May We Celebrate...
And We Also Recognize That...
The goals for our Mental Health Awareness month include raising public awareness of the importance of mental health, helping to reduce the stigma of mental health, and connecting families, educators, and providers to help our children learn to recognize healthy behaviors.
What are your Summer Plans?
We also have three 21st Century Summer programs that have incredibly exciting plans for the students who will be attending. If your child is enrolled in CB, CMS, or GHS contact your school's 21st Century coordinator for more information.
Fall Parent Engagement Plans
I can hardly wait to get started again this fall with more parent education plans!! We have such great things planned for parents and families in our upcoming Parent Academy! Our goal is to significantly increase communication, eliminate areas of confusion that have existed in the past, and provide parents with as many resources as possible. We'll be asking for help and input along the way. Be sure to share your thoughts so the information will be useful for YOU!
