Cedar Grove Friday Flash
September 6, 2019
Dear Cedar Grove Families,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! It was wonderful to see our families for open house, and we were so excited to see our returning students as well as meet and greet our new students as we complete our first week of school. We know that this will be a great year of learning and success for your child.
If you need to make any changes to how your child comes home from school, please notify your child's teacher in advance or send a note with your child to school regarding any changes. Please keep in mind that teachers may not be looking at emails during the school day if there is a last minute change, so the teacher may not see the transportation change in time. You may also contact the school office with any changes, but please do so prior to 3:30 p.m., as the office is very busy at dismissal time. Thank you.
During this first week of school, we have had some plumbing issues within the building, and your child may have mentioned some of the restrooms were closed for repairs. We are diligently working with our maintenance department to resolve these issues and will be proactive in making sure all repairs are made to our highest standards and satisfaction as soon as possible.
Our PTA Welcome Back to School Picnic and Color Fun Run will be Friday, September 13 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. During this time, the Book Fair will also be open for families to visit and purchase books. This is a great time for you and your children to meet old friends and new people. We hope to see you there!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Fan Friday - Update
Some rules:
1. Jerseys can be any sport (football, soccer, baseball, etc.).
2. For the first 10 weeks any shirt that has a sport or team name on it will count as a jersey. The only time you will need a numbered shirt will be for the championship game.
3. If you do not have a jersey, do not go out and buy one. You may make your own by writing a number on an old t-shirt (students should make sure they ask for their parent's permission).
4. No keeping extra jerseys in the classroom and no taping numbers on shirts.
5. Have fun:)
See Mr. Jansson if you have any questions or need any more details. Thanks for your support. Have fun and go team!!!
