What is a concussion?
A concussion is a temporary unconsciousness caused by a blow to the head. Function may be interrupted but there is no stuctural damage to the brain. Most concussions occur without the patient being knocked out.
Concussion Symptoms
Typical Symptoms of a concussion include: headache, dizziness, nausea, dazed feelings, bad concentration ,and visual problems.
How to Prevent Concussions
Head protection should be worn when participating in some sports, wearing helmets,and using seat belts.
