Hawk Highlights
November 6, 2020
Dear Families of the Hollys,
The season of autumn is upon us here at the Hollys as we move into the month of November. November is recognized nationally as Native American/Indigenous Heritage Month. It is important to honor the lived experiences and perspectives of our Native American/Indigenous students and families now, and throughout the year. Partnering with our Black, Brown, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) students and families through the lens of equity is an important focus of Cherry Creek School District and for us here at the Hollys. Please feel free to join us virtually for our next Partnership for Academically Successful Students (P.A.S.S.) Meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm by using the following link:

The month of November is often a time for gratitude. During this unique time, we are so grateful to have partnered with you during our parent/teacher conferences this week. We thank you for your trust, support and dedication for your child’s educational experience. Our teachers are doing a great job of providing engaging learning experiences, and our students demonstrate excitement for learning every single day. They are coming to school prepared to learn. They have the resources they need and such positive attitudes to show that they are serious about their education.
During November, we also thank our Veterans! Thank you so very much for your selfless act of service for our country and for our freedoms. This year, due to COVID-19, the students and staff will collaborate on a video to educate and celebrate Veterans Day. We will share and post our video creation on Veterans Day, November 11, 2020.
Thank you so much for your continued partnership.
Fondly,
Chris Toliver
Assistant Principal
