Eagle Sightings November
Holly Wehner, Principal
Dear Eagle Families,
Our character trait for November is honesty, but I know this time of year is often a time to think of things we are thankful for. As we have begun a wonderful school year, full of challenges, joy, and lots of learning, I honestly feel so thankful to be part of this amazing community, and I want to say thank you to you! Thank you for supporting the children in your lives in all the ways you do. I also want to say thank you to all the teachers, para educators, bus drivers, food service staff and other school staff for continuing to provide consistency, predictability and structure for our children each and every day. Thank you to our wonderful, generous community who contribute in so many ways to Friday Harbor schools. Last week we were very excited to participate in the Halloween parade, and the excitement leading up to the event was palpable. Walking through town, seeing the smiles on the faces of community members made the day just perfect. It was another reminder of all that we have to be thankful for in this community. Thank you for your continued partnership.
With appreciation,
Holly Wehner

The FHES Parent Teacher Organization is asking for your help. There are about 305 students in K-5 and about 28 teachers that help create a positive learning environment for our students. Our FHES PTO has a huge responsibility to help fill the gaps left by the lack of funding for education in our state. The PTO is looking for more members to join the PTO team. If you are interested please keep an eye out for info on the next meeting.
