Change in Uniform Company, Uniform Truck and Dress Code
Mrs. Trujillo and I have personally toured the conveniently located facility at the 163rd street mall and we are very confident that you will be pleased and that we will not have problems like we did last year.
Incoming PK and K4 parents... please remember that your children DO NOT wear the regular school uniform and you will purchase your items here at school with the exception of long pants for cooler days. These must be pull-on with no button and zipper.
Now, for the minor changes in the dress code. We have eliminated Khaki has a color choice so all uniform bottoms must be navy or the plaid (girls). If you have Khaki items that still fit your child from this year, they may use them NEXT YEAR ONLY. Please DO NOT purchase any new Khaki items (short, pants, skorts) from anywhere.
We have eliminated a color choice in the polos as well as the Peter Pan blouse and the Island shirt. As stated previously, if you still have these items that fit and are usable, your children may wear them NEXT YEAR ONLY.
Ibiley stocks a very nice and reasonably priced jacket which is now part of our dress code. It's so nice and comfy that Mrs. Trujillo and I have ordered one! This is optional this year but will be the only outerwear that is permitted next year so I would suggest you buy it now. Always buy jackets a size larger to get a couple of years out of them and always PUT YOUR CHILD'S NAME IN THE JACKET. Why are we doing this? If you have seen the hodgepodge mess of jackets and sweaters that we always have in the lost and found, then you understand. Of course, it will be months before it is cold enough for your child to need a jacket so you can stagger your purchases if you wish.
Ibiley has online ordering and shipping available and also has layaway. The uniform truck will also be here in late July. They also have money saving packages available. I think you will be very pleased.
If you want the most pleasant shopping experience, I really do advise you to shop early.
SUMMER BLAST SUMMER CAMP, CAMP CRUSADER JR. AND SUMMER ACADEMIC PROGRAM REGISTRATION IS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
Regarding summer school... we have changed the schedule a bit this year in an effort to allow students and parents time to get away on the weekends. The summer school day is longer but there is no school on Friday so the kids get a three day weekend. Kids who are enrolled in camp get a full day in camp. Lunch is provided to all students in summer school.
