The definition of a amendment is any change to the constitution of the United States Of America. Amendment 1-Congress will not make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
How it Works !
An Amendment is any change to a important document, so each Amendment has a specific right to the people like Amendment 1 you have the freedom of speech, 2 you have the right to bear arms. If one house has 2/3 vote and the other house has a 3/4 then the law passes. Amendments can be proposed, approved, or ratified.
