Writing Assignment

The Radio was invented by Guglielmo Marconi. Radio means sending energy with waves. In other words, it's a method of transmitting electrical energy from one place to another without using any kind of direct, wired connection. That's why it's often called wireless. The equipment that sends out a radio wave is known as a transmitter; the radio wave sent by a transmitter whizzes through the air—maybe from one side of the world to the other—and completes its journey when it reaches the second piece of equipment called a receiver. This allows you to use a radio.

One effect that the radio had on people is that people had more information on things and also entertained people. Another effect radio had on people had was it was easier to communicate. For example, in an article titled "Theories of Communication", it states, "The radio wave devices allowed communication from distant locations that did not have access to wires. Case in point is the disaster involving the Titanic. The ship sent a distress call with radio waves that resulted in rescue ships that helped saved multiple lives. One effect that radio has on people today is that many people listen to songs on it. For instance according to "Theories of Communication", The radio gave homes the opportunity to listen to live music from the comfort of their own living rooms."

Have you imagined your life without a radio? This radio allows you to so many things in life. A radio allows you to listen to things that you are interested in. The invention of the radio was a really great idea and I am glad that we were are able to use it. I agree that not many people today uses radio because of Iphones but the radio still imapcted our life.
