Organize and Reflect as You Research
There are multiple methods for collecting and organizing information you find during the research process. One method I recommend is mindmapping. A digital tool called mindmeister.com helps you create a digital mindmap!
The more you stop and reflect as you gather your information, the better your research outcome will be!
Try asking yourself questions like:
- How does this source help me answer my research question?
- What new questions do I have?
- Does this information confirm, challenge, or change my thinking about the topic?
- Do I notice any patterns or trends with other sources I've find?
Looking for a no-tech option? You can draw your mindmap!
Here's some examples to get you started.
