GRE Family Gazette
September 3, 2018
Dear GRE Families,
We had another great week at GRE! This past week, grade level teacher teams met in what we call Data Team Meetings to review assessment results for each and every student. It was great to see teachers working so hard to personalize learning for all of our 508 students. You should have received your child's Fall Assessment letter in their back pack on Friday. Along with the Fall Assessment letter, you may have received a permission letter to have your son or daughter work with an additional teacher in a small group setting for either reading or math. If you have questions about any assessments or results you should reach out to your child's teacher.
Now that we are getting more confident and comfortable in our classrooms, it's clear the learning is in full swing. This week, as I popped into classrooms to check out our learning, I saw students using ST Math (our K-2nd math software) in small groups, working with teachers on writing workshop, and practicing sounds during Fundations (our new phonics program for K-2). I love getting into classrooms and can't wait to see even more rooms this week!
Let's have a great week at GRE!
