ACP Knightly News
January 8th, 2021
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
ACP Oakland Knights began 2021 with enthusiasm and gratitude. I think there were some back-to-school butterflies that quickly disappeared on the first day of Google Meets. Teachers reported that students were highly engaged, happy, and ready to get started. Great start Knights!

ATHLETICS UPDATE
This afternoon the AIA made the decision to suspend high school winter sports. It is unclear the extent to which this will impact Jr. high sports as the seasons do not align in the same way (high schools typically have three seasons while Jr. highs have four). We anticipate more information early next week and will distribute the plan for moving forward at that time. In the interim, all athletics, tryouts, and activities continue to be suspended.
If you have any questions or concerns you would like communicated to EVC or district leadership, please let me know.
Fred DePrez, Jr.
Assistant Principal/Athletic Director

Yearbook Quotes Needed
Our yearbook class has an upcoming deadline on several spreads. We are gathering quotes to include in our yearbook and hope to include more quotes from these groups: students, coaches, teachers (motivational type), and parents (quotes about the school). If you are in one of these groups and want to share your thoughts/ words, we will consider using them in our yearbook! Please email to our interim teacher, Mr. Ruiz at ruiz.alexander@cusd80.com and type SCHOOL QUOTE in the subject area.
Thank you!
