Great things are happening here at Highcroft. Students are learning the new routines, procedures, and content in their new classes. It never stops amazing me how kids can show they are smiling even with masks on.

Please remember we have our first Early Release Day of the year this Wednesday. Early Release Days as it is new this year, replacing Late Start Days. The Parkway Board of Education approved early release times for the teacher-directed work of Professional Learning Communities. Early Release Days throughout the school year are 9/15, 10/14, 11/17, 12/15, 2/2, 3,/2, 4/14, 5/4. On these days Highcroft Ridge will dismiss at 2:00 pm. Please note the date change from before. It is 5/4 and not 5/14. That was a misprint.

We were disappointed to have to cancel Curriculum Night on Thursday. Much of Parkway was without internet and it was unclear when it would be returning. We will be announcing a new date soon. Please continue to send questions that they can address at the Q and A part of the event.

There has been an update to Parkway's COVID recess procedures. Parkway, under the guidance of the Department of Health, has deemed it safe to play as grade levels at recess. This allows kids to see and play with kids in other classes in a safer outside manner. We will not be mixing kids in other areas, as it is only recommended for outside.

We will be sending home an Emergency Dismissal Form this week. It is a paper copy. Please complete it at your earliest convenience and return to your child's teacher.
