Hippo Nation...Better Together! Sept 2019
A Note from your CCE Principal
Dear CCES Families--
The first few weeks of school have been exciting here at The Creek! Our students have been learning about campus-wide expectations such as hallway expectations, cafeteria expectations, etc. We teach these expectations using "The Hippo Way". The Hippo Way asks everyone to remember to "Be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!" We ask our staff and students to model those traits at all times with "Give it, Own it, and Live it". Partner with all of Hutto ISD and ask your students to do the same at home, community events, etc. The Hippo Way is an excellent way for everyone to remember and bring out the best in each of us!
Along those same lines, Safety is a Priority at Cottonwood Creek Elementary. We ask all parents and students to use our crosswalks located at the Front (North) of the building and the Side (West) towards our community subdivisions. Modeling safety by using our cross-walks will set a great example for all of our students and keep everyone safe.
Parents who pick students up via car, please remember to display your car tag on your windshield. Parents, if you need another car tag, please park and come into the school office where our office staff can issue another car tag with your ID. Remember that safety is a priority.
Thank you, CCE Families, for working with the transportation department to ensure that you have the correct busing information and bus stops. Please remember to call in any transportation changes to our front office before 2 PM. This allows our office staff and teachers to have timely information for our student's dismissal.
As we start the month of September, we are looking forward to celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! We will share more information about other events at the campus in this newsletter. Keep reading :)
Cottonwood Creek Elementary has the BEST Staff, Students, and Families! We truly are "Better Together"! Our students will have a wonderful experience at Cottonwood Creek Elementary!

Students are getting to know their teachers and teachers are getting to know our students! I am slowly learning a few more names each day!
If you have not yet had time to join our PTA, please reach out to them at cottonwoodcreekpta@gmail.com. We welcome all parents and community members who would like to partner with our campus to support teachers and students!

Lunch boxes/lunches can be dropped off in the office for students. Our staff will ensure that lunches are picked up by students/teachers.
