Kid's Konnection
Issue 5
Some very special thanks this month!
We're ALWAYS thankful for our volunteers. And, sometimes it is good to draw attention to things so we don't forget how much work goes into the ministries that happen each week.
Here's another couple of ministries that we are thankful for!
Prayer Time!
If you would like to have your ministry invited to prayer time please talk to Sarah Geelhoed or Jen Sterk!
Our volunteers are amazing!
We are so blessed to have Sarah Geelhoed leading our kids at prayer time. Prayer time is such an important part of our kids spiritual walk. It is such a honor to be able to communicate with God and a necessity to our growth in our relationship with Him.
Today, the kids were reminded that God wants us to be mindful of ENCOURAGING others. We all have days we want to quit, but knowing that someone is fighting for you and with you helps us to live out the Hebrews verse about running our race well.
So, to help kids be reminded of that, they all drew a name of someone out of a basket. They have been asked to pray for and encourage that person. Maybe a small card or a picture drawn for that person.
Parents, help your kids. Ask them about it. Who are they praying for? Can they be added to the families prayer board? A bible verse to remind them they are loved?
This is for 1st-12th grade so think of the multigenerational way our kids can connect to each other.
Wouldn't a first grader love to get a little note from a 9th grader?
Thank you Sarah, for helping lead our kids in this way. I think this is an awesome idea. Definitely teaches our kids one of the most important ways we can support each other!
Singing Time!

Here is a great video Kim Zwyghuizen shared on her Facebook page of the kids singing!
Singing is led by John Blom, Kevin Novak and Katie Ruis. Each one of them bring their own passion for music to this time. So great to see people serving where their gifts are!
ALSO: Please see the bulletin board in the fellowship area to read some fun facts about our teachers.
